Adam Wolfe Photo

I’m a 4th generation New Yorker who was born in Manhattan and live on the Upper West Side with my wife and our two rescue dogs.  Although I studied photography in college, my creative journey began when I spent a decade touring the country with my indie rock band, and while on tour I was always taking photos with my dad’s old Pentax film camera and a Polaroid SX70.

During this time, my passion for story telling through photography was born and after many years of touring I traded the guitar for the camera and haven’t looked back.  Even though music is my first language, I feel that light and sound have similar properties and that relationship has translated directly into my photography practice.

As a guitarist, I’m always looking for the moody spaces that exist inside music and as a photographer, I look for the gritty, moody and even messy bits.  Perfection can be boring and nuance is delicious!

Getting to the core of your being is only part of the equation.  Taking it to the next level and elevating your essence and radiance is what I work for.  Through my collaborative process, I will take the raw material you bring and together we will dig deep to reach new heights in your imagery.  We don’t go for good enough, we strive for greatness!  I put in my heart and soul into every photo to elevate my subjects and take their images and branding to the next level and beyond!
