Emmylou Smith is a U.S. based Illustrator and Fine Artist with a B.F.A. and M.A. in Illustration. After five years of teaching as an adjunct art instructor and two years as a freelance graphic designer, she transitioned from digital media to exhibiting traditional watercolor paintings, developing a practice aiming to revive history for the modern eye.
Over the past year, her work has been featured in group exhibitions across the U.S., as an advertisement in an art magazine, and won her a first-place award in a local juried art competition. She now works professionally as an art coordinator and backup pre-press technician, assisting artists in preparing their work for print.
