About

I’m illustrator Anni Betts. I create vibrant, cheerful drawings for books, magazines, advertising, greeting cards, calendars and more. I love making the world a more colorful place, and specialize in drawing animals, plants, people, and lettering. I’ve been drawing all my life, and illustrating for a living since 2006. I’ve had the pleasure of illustrating the very successful Breathe Like a Bear series of mindfulness books written by Kira Willey and published by Rodale Kids. Originally from Illinois, I now live in the United Kingdom, in the beautiful and historic city of Durham, England. Working from my cozy home office I have a lovely view of the scenery of the North East, full of rolling hills and fluffy sheep. When not illustrating, I can be found going for long walks and exploring the UK with my archaeologist husband Kamal and amazing children Emmett and Sabrina. I also enjoy reading, entertaining, and sewing my own colorful clothes.
